Who we are

This site lets event organisers publish rave and festival events for a global audience. The data controller is Ravebase, reachable at contact@ravebase.net.

What we collect

If you create an organiser account:

• Your name and email address.
• Your public organiser (brand) name.

When you publish an event, the details you enter become public:

• Event name, organiser name, description, line-up, dates and timezone.
• Venue name, address, city and country, plus coordinates if you supply a map link.
• Ticket price, currency and links you add.

We process your IP address only as long as necessary for security, abuse prevention and spam protection.

Why we process it

• To provide the service - creating your account and publishing your events (performance of a contract).
• To keep accounts secure - email verification, two-factor codes, rate limiting and captcha (legitimate interest).
• To keep the platform usable and lawful - moderation of published content (legitimate interest).

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF cookie to protect forms. If you choose "remember me", a long-lived authentication cookie is set. Your light/dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser, not on our servers. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who else sees your data

• Our hosting provider, which stores the database and uploaded images on our behalf.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives your IP address and a challenge token when you sign up, to tell humans from bots. Cloudflare may process data outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used.
• Anyone on the internet, for the event details you choose to publish publicly. Password-protected events are not listed and are excluded from search engine indexing.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

• Account data: until you close your account.
• Published events: remain available as an archive to preserve historical event information and the integrity of the platform. Unless you delete them or close your account with full deletion.

Your rights

We apply these rights to everyone, not only visitors in the EU:

• Access and rectification - you can view and correct your account details and every event field at any time from your profile.
• Erasure - when you close your account you choose between anonymising it (your identity is replaced with "Deleted organiser" and your events stay online) or deleting everything (your account, all events and all uploaded images are permanently removed).
• Objection and complaint - you can contact us at contact@ravebase.net, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changing your email address requires confirming the new address first, and changing sensitive details requires re-verification when two-factor authentication is on.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
